Utility bills are a major source of expenditure in large organisations. The situation has been exacerbated greatly in recent years due to the significant increase (often doubling) of tariffs.
Meridian's utility review analyses expenditure across the company or public sector body and identifies over-payments. In many cases, recommendations can also be made regarding strategies to reduce expenditure, even if the existing supplier relationships are maintained.
In our experience, the billing of utilities to large organisations has many similarities to telecoms (see telecoms review). These include opportunities to further consolidate invoicing and migration to electronic formats. Again, obtaining rebates resulting from inaccurate billing can be very significant.
